Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) has announced the winners of its 59th Anniversary. The Package Design Awards reflect a celebration of the power of effective package design and related disciplines to advance the brand, tell the story, make the sale - and two of DRC’s designs for John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. have made the cut!

 

World Brand Design Society - OVH Chickpea Chips

Orchard Valley Harvest was undergoing a reformulation of their Chickpea Chips products with new, deliciously crunchy and bold flavors. The brand thought it was the right time to overhaul their packaging in order to appear more snack-able, fun, and flavorful, and recognized the opportunity to break free from their consistent, templated brand look across every category.

Agency expands mission to help brands develop sustainability strategies

A brand’s eco-friendly practices rank as the top feature influencing consumers’ brand choice. That’s according to a Conference Board survey of 30,000 consumers worldwide, which has prompted Design Resource Center, a Chicago-based brand strategy and design consultancy, to launch a new sustainability initiative that aims to make an impact in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Down to Business: Getting the branding right can be deciding factor between success and failure, Naperville designers say

What does your business do? “We do strategic branding and package design for in-store product goods. That’s our primary focus. ... Consumer product goods are what you find in a grocery store or a hardware store, anything that’s packaged for retail. We do a lot in the food and beverage space. We also get involved in hardware and houseware,” Norman said.

“We leveraged consumer insights, category and competitive observations to identify an opportunity to target the ingredient-conscious consumer, specifically within the gluten free non-GMO arena. Our brand strategy process let to the development of the "consciously crafted" brand promise. The bohemian-chic influence of the packaging graphics brings this promise to life. They express a curated feel to the line, aid in shopability and in a delightfully uplifting way, enhance the emotional benefit – freedom to experience all the joy of candy."
